Ecopreneur.eu Joins the European Commission’s Ecodesign Forum
We are happy to announce that Ecopreneur.eu has been appointed as a member of the Expert Group on Ecodesign for Sustainable Products and Energy Labelling (the Ecodesign Forum) by the European Commission.
The Ecodesign Forum is tasked with implementing the Eco-design for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) and shaping ecodesign standards for products of all types and across all industries in the EU.
Our membership enables Ecopreneur.eu to provide valuable input to the Commission to ensure that the voice of businesses committed to sustainability is heard in the policy-making process. More specifically, our role is to
assist the European Commission, alongside peer stakeholders and representatives from the European Council, in drafting delegated acts and policy initiatives,
contribute to the implementation of existing EU legislation, programs, and policies, while gathering reference cases from sustainable frontrunners,
support the development of ecodesign requirements and working plans, tackling areas such as market surveillance, self-regulation, and the destruction of unsold consumer products, and
provide advisory input on the implementation of energy labeling rules.
By contributing to the development of ecodesign requirements and strategies, we are helping drive the transition to a circular economy and a stronger, more sustainable EU market.
The Ecodesign Forum kicked off in February 2025 with a general assembly of appointed members in Brussels.
