Ecopreneur.eu welcomes Resortecs as its first associated company member

Ecopreneur.eu welcomes Resortecs as its first associated company member of the European Sustainable Business Federation. Founded in 2017 and based in Brussels, Resortecs is a scale-up driving circularity in the textile industry through patented design-for-disassembly technology: heat-dissolvable stitching threads and thermal disassembly systems that enable garments and textile products to be repaired, transformed, upgraded, and ultimately recycled more efficiently at end-of-life. Their innovations are already being adopted by major global fashion brands, positioning Resortecs as a frontrunner in the EU's transition to circular fashion.

Resortecs joins Ecopreneur.eu as an associated company member — a new membership category open to for individual for-profit companies committed to ambitious sustainability goals and the circular economy — and will participate in Ecopreneur.eu's Advocacy Group advising the Board. On behalf of our total membership of thousands of companies committed to sustainability – most of them SMEs, Ecopreneur.eu advocates a new economic framework in which sustainability is promoted, the environment respected, and ecological principles are followed.

Arthur ten Wolde, Executive Director of Ecopreneur.eu: "Resortecs is exactly the kind of company Ecopreneur.eu exists to champion: a European scale-up turning circular economy ambition into industrial reality. Their work on textile disassembly is a concrete answer to the Ecodesign Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) and the EU's Textiles Strategy, and their voice will strengthen our advocacy with compelling, real-world evidence of what sustainable business looks like."

Cédric Vanhoeck, co-founder and CEO of Resortecs: "Joining Ecopreneur.eu is a natural step for us. We have always believed that technology alone is not enough — the regulatory framework needs to eward circular design, make recycling economically viable at scale and help businesses preserve value throughout a product's lifecycle, whether through repair, reuse, refurbishment or recycling. By joining this federation, we can contribute our hands-on experience to EU policy discussions and help ensure that legislation actually works for companies building the circular economy from the ground up."
