Ecopreneur.eu selected as SME representative for the EU Ecolabel

Brussels – We are proud to announce that Ecopreneur.eu and the German think-and-do tank adelphi have been selected by the European Commission as the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) representative in the framework of the EU Ecolabel.

This appointment formally recognises our long-standing role in representing Europe’s sustainability frontrunners and ambitious SMEs in EU policy processes. As SME representative, Ecopreneur.eu will contribute to discussions on the further development and simplification – real, no deregulation – of the EU Ecolabel scheme, aiming for:

• Workable administrative procedures for SMEs
• Criteria remaining ambitious yet feasible for sustainable frontrunners
• Increased market uptake among SMEs.

SMEs play a crucial role in delivering sustainable products and services. Through this role, Ecopreneur.eu will actively advocate for a robust, credible and accessible EU Ecolabel that works for sustainability leaders of all sizes.

We look forward to constructive collaboration with SMEs, adelphi, the European Commission, Member States and stakeholders to further strengthen the scheme.
