Ecopreneur.eu member of Technical Expert Group on Sustainable Finance
We are happy to announce that Ecopreneur.eu has been selected as an expert to participate in workshops of the Technical Expert Group on Sustainable Finance and the development of a sustainable taxonomy.
The European Commission recently appointed Technical Expert Groups to develop a “taxonomy of economic activities that contribute to European environmental objectives”, meaning “when can funding for a specific activity be counted as green and be part of a green fund?” The impact of the answer can be far-reaching.
In developing criteria to identify which economic activities should be included in the Taxonomy, the TEG is seeking additional input from individuals with relevant technical expertise.
Ecopreneur is participating in the activity group covering evaluation of “do no significant harm” to the environmental objectives, including circular economy considerations. While the focus of environmental objectives is currently on climate change, this approach is cross-cutting. Ecopreneur.eu has provided input for discussion in a workshop that will be held in Brussels on March 26, 2019.
