Interactive list of sustainability assessment tools published

Brussels – Ecopreneur.eu, the European Sustainable Business Federation, provides easy access to a list of 42 existing tools, indicators, software solutions, databases, data standards and related applications in relation to sustainability assessment that was recently developed by the EU project ORIENTING. 

A brief questionnaire (3 minutes) guides users, especially SMEs, directly to one or more existing tools, methods and other applications in relation to Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA) of products for specific sectors or purposes such as sustainability reporting, design, or measuring circularity. 

The published list is an interactive form of Annex A in the ORIENTING report D6.7 “Customer and competitors overview, market barriers and opportunities” (v2.0 – March 2024) that is available on the ORIENTING website. The ORIENTING project has developed an operational methodology for Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA) that integrates environmental, social, and economic dimensions, while also incorporating circularity and criticality indicators. Ecopreneur.eu played a key role within the project to ensure that the outcomes are accessible and beneficial to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) via an “entry level”.
