Brussels – An Ecopreneur.eu delegation met yesterday with Diederik Samsom and Helena Braun, respectively Head and Member of the cabinet of Executive Vice-President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans.
The Timmermans office is responsible for, among other things, the European Green Deal and future European climate legislation. Besides Arthur ten Wolde (our executive director) and Thibaut Georgin (treasurer), four representatives of the Low-Carbon Circular Economy Group of Ecopreneur.eu were present: Remondis (recycling), Humana (fashion), Tarkett (flooring) and Werner & Mertz (cleaning products).
The aim was to present the activities of Ecopreneur.eu and to pass on a series of recommendations to accelerate the economic transition and the development of “eco-preneurs” in Europe. They were also handed the Circular Economy Update Report 2019 prepared by Ecopreneur.eu. This report provides an overview of circular economy policies in all Member States of the European Union.
